Attention Students: Every third Thursday of November is declared the Great American Smokeout. That event will be observed today. The Smokeout urges smokers to smoke less or quit for the day on the Great American Smokeout day. Please remember to wear your green wristband today. Don’t forget to tie a black, white or green ribbon. Tie a Black ribbon if a friend or family member died from tobacco-related causes. Tie a White ribbon if you know someone who smokes or chews. Tie a Green ribbon if you are quitting or are smoke-free. Lastly, submit your pledges at lunch for a prize.

Tomorrow is “Save-A-Ton” Friday. Do Not forget to bring plastic bottles and aluminum cans to the bike racks tomorrow. This month we are having a contest to bring in 1600 cans! If we reach our goal, everyone on campus will get a popsicle during lunch next week. We only need about 580 cans to make our goal! We CAN do it! Also, this Friday and Saturday, be sure to get your family to go to Il Poggio Restaurant on Atlantic Avenue and order ravioli! For every ravioli ordered, Il Poggio has generously agreed to donate .50 cents to our Hughes Goes Green projects! Bon Appetito!

New Hughes apparel! Sweatshirts and polos will be delivered next Monday and Tuesday.
